Net World Sports Help Pre-Season Training Start with a Bounce!
Aug 23, 2017, 5:31 pm

Staff from Net World Sports, based in Wrexham, attended Wrexham Warriors pre-season session at Glyndwr University on Monday to see some of the club's new fitness and basketball kit being put to the test in pre-season training.

Players had an opportunity to use the clubs's new Forza Speed Ladders, Training Hurdles and training bibs. They also had the chance to try out a RapidFire Rebound Net to see how it may support individual skills development.

Player and club secretary, Rich Holden, said "It's great to have an equipment supplier on our doorstep and we were happy to help Net World Sports to look at how their range of equipment is and could be used in basketball. The new kit helped to give our players some more variety in our preseason training and we hope to use our new equipment during youth sessions as they prepare for this season's North Wales Basketball Association's league. We're keen to repeat our under 18 success from last season and get down to Aberwystwyth to represent the NWBA in the Terry Price Cup aginst South Wales teams. We've some new players in the seniors this year that will give use more depth and there's talks of expanding to two teams which is great news."

Wrexham Under 18s Travel To Aberwystwyth for Terry Price Cup
May 9, 2017, 11:20 pm

Wrexham Under 18s won their place to represent North Wales, along with Caernarfon Celts, when they came second in the North Wales play offs.

On Sunday 7th May they travelled down to Aberwystwyth University for the Under 18's Terry Price Cup.

Wrexham had a tough game against Cardiff Met and struggled with their small squad of six when one player fell into foul trouble after the first quarter. Their loss meant they met Caernarfon Celts to fight for third place, a local adversary. Wrexham started well but let the score drift in the third with some poor turn overs and Celts' three point shooting denied Wrexham opportunities to close the points difference. Well done to L Sutton and R Andrew for being voted MVPs.

Well done to the six players that showed great stanima and attitude in their two games and huge thanks to the support of parents.

Next year a win ;-)

BOOM! Wrexham U18s secure second win of season!
Nov 16, 2016, 9:50 pm

We celebrated two wins from three games on Tuesday 15th November. Starting strong in the first quarter we put a fourteen point gap between us and Mold Magic, finishing the quarter with a three from the corner by R Lancellotte.

Things slowed down in the second but we managed to keep our heads and out shoot Mold as they started to attack inside.

Mold began to find their rythm in the second half, drawing the third and just winning the fourth. By then it was too late and Wrexham celebrated a deserved win after much better passing and team work.

Quarter   Wrexham    Mold

1            17            3

2             9             6

3            14           14
